Korean Phonetic is a typeface made up of the way the latin alphabet is pronounced in Korean consonants and vowels. Like the way the 1992 LA riots exacerbated due to ‘language barriers’ this typeface exemplifies the differences in pronounciation between the Korean and English language. Often, awkward pronounciation that doesn’t sound like a native English speaker can make a person feel a sense of ‘otherness,’ making them feel a sense of isolation.
